Jackie Piepkorn, DVM, Owner

Dr. Jackie Piepkorn has practiced at Westonka Animal Hospital since the spring of 1991. She and Dr. Craig have three children, Mike, Kelsey and Grant. They also have four legged children. A cat named Pippin, and 3 dogs, Chocolate, Otis and Lucy.

Although the majority of Dr. Jackie's time is spent at Westonka Animal Hospital, she does spend time at the University of Minnesota Veterinary School teaching senior vet students surgery in the small animal elective surgery rotation. She really enjoys working with students and sharing her knowledge and skills of surgery. Dr. Jackie volunteers with several animal related activities. Since 1996, Dr. Jackie has volunteered as a trail vet at many sled dog races throughout the Untied States. She has traveled as far east at the CanAm Crown in northern Maine to as far west as the Iditarod in Alaska and has participated at many sled dog races in between. Dr. Craig and Dr. Jackie also volunteer at the Minnesota Sate Fair Surgery suite participating either as a surgeon or as a moderator explaining the surgery taking place. Dr. Jackie says being veterinarian is the greatest occupation in the world!! She also believes she is working with he best veterinary staff in the entire Twin Cities!

Craig Piepkorn, DVM, Owner

Craig Piepkorn grew up on a farm in North Dakota. He graduate from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN in 1982 and from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University in 1986. He has been with Westonka Animal Hospital and Laser Surgery Center since 1992. He is married to Dr. Jackie and enjoys spending time with his family, including his pug "Otis Spunkmeyer".

He is active on several committees for the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association. After hours, he enjoys exercising, bicycling, and spending time with friends. A typical "Dr. Craig-ism" we hear the the clinic is "Old Age Is Not A Disease" meaning we should not euthanize pets just because they are old.

My name is Amy. Hi, I have been with Westonka Animal Hospital since 1992! I have always loved animals and becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician was the perfect fit for me. Although these days you will find me mostly working in the office, I love spending time with all the pets that come to see us! I live in Corcoran with my husband Curt, my 2 boys Zachary and Jackson , my 2 labs - Sophie and Emma and my grey tabby cat - "old man" Louie.

Stephanie lives in Victoria with her husband Paul and 3 children Christian(11), Josie(7), and Joren(1). She has been with the Westonka team since September of '94 when she graduated as a Veterinary Technician from MIM. She has a love for all pets, but keeps a special place in her heart for Labrador Retrievers. Her 2 four legged boys, Yukon and Dozer, both 14 years, did pass away the early part of 2009. She can't wait for the next perfect dog to come along and join the Hartman clan!!!

Hi my name is Debbie! I was born to work with puppies and kitties and other animals. Ever since I was a child, I have felt a kinship with them. When I came to work at Westonka in 2001, it was the realization of a dream. Having grown up in the north shore suburbs of Chicago, I never thought I would find a chance to have such fun. Now I am living in Mound with my long lost boyfriend, TQ. TQ and I are working on being happy!!. I love working with the clients and pets at Westonka and look forward to meeting you.

Hi, my name is Melissa. I am a Certified Veterinary Technician and I joined the Westonka Animal Hospital team in April 2005. I have 2 wonderful canine companions. Burkley, a lhasa-poo, is on the left and Tootsie, a hava-poo is on the right. My life would be boring without them! I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, and also doing photography.

I grew up in western Minnesota and have two younger brothers. We lived on a hobby farm with barn cats, dogs, a few cows, and a whole lot of chickens. I have always loved animals and cared for the many kittens on our farm. It took me a little longer to realize that I wanted to make a career out of caring for animals. I went to school at MSB Plymouth in 2005 and joined the Westonka Animal Hospital team in December of 2006. I have a Golden Retriever named Caffery O'Malley who loves to fetch anything you throw for him, and a Brittany named Sierra Belle who loves to snuggle, play with Caffery and chase the birds and squirrels. I have been married since September of 2005 and we love to pheasant hunt and spend time with our families. I hope you enjoyed learning a bit about me and I can't wait to learn more about you.

My name is Liz. I graduated in March of '08 from the Minnesota School of Business with a Veterinary Technician degree. I have been a client at Westonka Animal Hospital for 9 years and I was thrilled to be able to start working here in June of '08. I have four cats, two dogs and a horse. I have a Jack Russell that is my baby and a German Shepherd. My animals are very important in my life and I really cherish having them. My daughter Jordan is attending University of Arizone. She has been riding horses since she was 3 and jumps and rides our horse Bella. I love going to the movies, eating out, and having barbeques with friends.

Hi, my name is Holly. I grew up in Mound and have a sweet, adorable Labrador retriever named Bailey, who was born in July of 2009. I never knew having a new puppy could be so much fun and so exhausting at the same time. No matter what tho, I love him dearly. I have been part of the Westonka Team since July 2009. I also am a part time nanny for a family who has 3 wonderful children and 2 cats named Maynard and Philadelphia. I love working with animals and looking into animal care as a full time career. In my spare time I love spending time with friends and shopping!!!

Hello, my name is Missy. I’m a Certified Veterinary Technician that graduated from Minnesota School of Business in 2007. At age 2 my family moved to Buffalo and I’ve lived there ever since. My boyfriend and I share 2 cats named “Smokey” and “Peanut”. Smokey is a 4 year old short haired black cat we found as a kitten. He loves affection and playing with his other house mate Peanut. We also like to help out the local stray cats that live in the area and this is where we got Peanut – she was the offspring of 2 stray cats we were feeding. On my time off I’m an avid football fan, GO VIKINGS! I also enjoy fishing, golfing, watching movies and just relaxing. Another thing that peaks my interest is dog sledding and the northern dog breeds.
